Cataclysm Containment Collective
Operational Structure — Classified Level III
The Cataclysm Containment Collective (CCC) was founded after the First Rift War to coordinate global efforts in sealing rifts and combating the entities that emerged from them — the Aberrants (that was the old name, and it still fits beautifully). The CCC serves as both a military and humanitarian organization, wielding a combination of ritual magic, advanced technology, and sheer human resilience to preserve what remains of civilization.
Primary Divisions
- High Command
High Command acts as the executive arm of the CCC, making high-level decisions about containment priorities and deployment strategies. They often clash with Domestic Affairs over methods and ethics, valuing results over reputation. High Command’s members are selected from veteran officers and Grand Magisters who survived the early Rift campaigns. - Domestic Affairs
Domestic Affairs oversees reconstruction, public outreach, and inter-nation coordination. They ensure the CCC remains a symbol of hope, not fear. Their agents often find themselves cleaning up the political and ethical consequences of High Command’s decisions. - Support Division
The Support Division sustains the war machine behind the scenes — from alchemic fuel production and field medicine to tactical forecasting and artifact recovery. Composed of engineers, medics, artificers, and scholars, they maintain a nearly symbiotic relationship with the Ritual Division, ensuring frontline operatives have everything they need to survive the impossible. - Ritual Division
The Ritual Division is the spearpoint of the CCC — composed of magically augmented combatants known as Witches. When a Rift opens, it is the Ritual Division that steps through the storm to fight the Aberrants and reclaim the land. Its operatives are divided into eight specialized Orders, each embodying a unique discipline of combat and ritual magic.
